WinME Setup

Alrighty, I am trying to install a Dell WinME CD on to a computer that I built. But, Dell has this anti-piracy thing that gives me an error message during setup saying it is the incorrect version. I researched it and it says that it checks to see if the mobo is Dell maufactured. Is there anyway of getting around this? Like getting burning an image of it or anything? I know this wrong, but I REALLY need your help. I would appreciate it.

Sounds like a restore CD to me.

sorry man, definitely sounds like your out of luck. (i agree, most likely a restore cd, which are OEM computer specific)

MAYBE, you can look at the contents of the cd and see if there's a "cabs" directory so you can copy that directory over and install off the hard drive, but i'm betting you're not gonna find one.
