I have a rather interesting problem that i can't figure out
Out of necessity I have 3 IP's per nic on 3 (XP Home, XP PRO, 2k Server) computers where I work. One for Internet(192.), One for my local intranet (10.) and One for our UNIX network (97.) Now correct me if I am wrong (our IT Admin thinks I am) but 97... is not for private use, but he won't change it, I dont think he knows how.... Anyway, I am trying to see the Workgroup at our site, so I add each computer to the workgroup. The two XP machines can not get to the workgroup, says that I dotn ahve permission from this workstation. Now both are logged on as admin accounts and I cannot find anything on the net for my case. I can ping the computers at every IP (192, 10, and 97) but the two XP machines cant get in. The 2k server machine can see some of the pc's in the workgroup but not all... Can someone help?
