I just finished building the church computer, and I wanted to add a wireless card (which I have already bought). The church is using the DLP projector with the WiJET Plug-and-Play Wireless Projector Adapter which plugs into the projector and sends and receives the signals wireless.
Here's my question. The computer is not hooked up to the internet, and the sole purpose of it is to project powerpoint presentations during the church service. I understand about Ad Hoc connections; however, I'm not familiar with optimum set-up of the Ad hoc connections. I am using WinXP home, and I have an 802.11b wireless pci card.
Do I just set up a TCP/IP on the computer and allow it to detect the WiJet? Do I need to set up SSID? I've looked at Practically Networked, but the information was rather limited in scope and not to my liking.
