wireless router question?

Do most of the wired/wireless routers act as hubs or switches? I just got a netgear WGT624 router and the only thing i don't like about it is my linksys switch has lights on it to whether you were connecting at 10 or 100bit. It also had a light if you were connectiong at full duplex. The only thing the netgear has is numbers (1-4) that light up when your connected and blink when there is activity otherwise im pretty happy with it but i was just wondering if it was acting as a hub or a switch. I do some pretty heavy stuff over my network such and video encoding and i want full duplex.

it's got 4 LAN ports, so as long as you use those to connect devices to the LAN and not use the WAN port as an uplink you will be fine.

I know that . I was just asking if the router was acting like a hub or a switch for computers connected to it.

Any contemporary SOHO router will have switched ports, and usually Auto MDI/MDX and autonegotiating. Yours is not an exception.

You could also just RTFM.

how do i know if it is full or half duplex on linksys befw11s4? I am curious.

If the numbers are green for each port==100mbit

If the numbers are amber for each port==10mbit
