Wizardry 8

I have been trying for days to get a copy of wizardry 8. I finally managed to find a copy (like pulling teeth trying to find this game) and got it up and running. I got it installed, got it configured etc. The game seems to run well. I got characters made and then tried to play it. It plays fine but many of the buttons on the keyboard are wrong. The mouse works fine, and SOME of the buttons on the keyboard are correct, but many of them are off by like one or two keys. I have poured over the internet for any mention at this problem, but I have not been able to find any reference. The game does offer a way to map the various game functions to specific keys, but the keys themselves are not right. The ?Q? key for instance registers as the ?S? key. I am wondering if anyone has any clue at all how to remedy this, or even any information on where I might look. I thought that maybe the game might think that I have ?compact? keyboard or something. It does not offer me the ability to change the keyboard to an un-compact one though. I am really stuck on this, any help at would be much appreciated.

Did you have the newest patch? 1.2.4 iirc

I checked the date and posted because other people may have this same question. Yes, years later.

I've never understood people with this mentality. If you don't want people posting to years old information, don't allow it at the site level.

It can be a case by case situation. But that is a topic for the feedback forum.

In this case, you asked a question of the OP, on a several year old post, when a check of the poster shows they have never been back to this site in those years.

As to it being allowed, personally, if there needs to be hard rules for things considered edicate, then this world really is stuffed (for various reasons related to this).

You should have just accepted that you screwed up to begin with...green is right. It isn't up to the mods to protect you from yourself.
