I'm looking for away to get some additional income. The logical choice would be to get a part time job but giving how screwy my current job's schedule is that's impossible(last month I worked nights, this moth I work 2nd shift thrusday - sunday, shift changes to something ever more incompatible at the end of the month)

I've been searching on line for these work at home opertunities but they all appear to be scams. Anyone know anything more on the up and up.

Suggestions welcome.

There was some post on here yesterday about some guy looking for people to do tech support from home through some website idea he had.

But I don't know what else besides Ebay there really is and that is easier said than done.

I did that. The idea was great but execution was a complete failure.
I got a reseller account for SSL certificates and was going to try to pawn them on customers at my current job who needed a SSL for their web sites(company does hosting but does not sell SSLs)

Also tried the cell phone thing on Ioffer. Nothing but fraud from England and Nigeria. I even have a fake Bank of America cashier's check to prove that.

I'm not even looking to make uber bucks. Maybe an extra 150 - 200 a week.

I would imagine tech support, some sort of ebay store you do from home, support for a web design company or a web based company of some sort.

I also have a friend who does freelance web development stuff. Just graphics and small jobs that people need done.

Start an eBay business
Start a website, get some people visiting, get google or yahoo adwords on there

I don't think you're going to find an ultimately flexible job that is worth a damn working for someone else. Time to start your own business

Make I could try selling cheap computers at 3+ times mark up over retail to the stupid and ignorante. Everyone else seems to be cashing in on the personal financing racket.

Just sell 2 computers a month and that's like an extra $300+

Have fun spending half of your free time supporting the people who buy them.

I used to build and sell computers. No more. People know no boundaries when they have even the most insignificant issue.

Nope. Support would be handeled via my vender(dell or HP)
I've seen it done before because I worked for a company that did that(they fired me because I did not see enough computers)

The problem is finding the "sucker"s to buy into that. I try to stay far away from the "lower class" as possible.

Nothing is selling on even eBay these days. No one can not tell me the economy is not in the dumpsters. Even BEST BUY has now almost started giving away laptops and PC's, and dropped their mail in rebates for instant rebates. Sales are hurting BADLY. Especially for retailers that depend on the "middle class" buyers. They are not buying!

And with eBay, shipping large items, like pc's, is an expensive nightmare.

I do quite a bit of my work from home. Though it's not something you "do on the side".

The problem with ebay is getting products to sell.
Most of the "wholesale' vendors if seen are setting a product for about the same as it goes on ebay. That won't make me any money

Not to practice necromancy here (by reviving an old thread) but does anyone know of more of these? I saw one that involved being an ebay retailer but I am not sure if its not a scam. Info would be helpful, I'm having no luck with any job locally that I have applied for. Thanks.
