i would be funny to see a blue glowing cloud @ night.

Anyhow i had a talk with gillbot and sunny on this laser a while back ago.

Gillbot agree'd if i ever got one, id be arrested by the FAA faster then i could say "sorry".

Green is best for that as it's closer to the peak spectral sensitivity point of human vision. (assuming that's what your target audience is! )

1W of 532 will reach lower clouds fairly well. If you want to cloud write the correct way you need a variance from the FDA and the FAA needs to be notified of such intent. 10W+ of 532 is quite visible especially if your source laser is of good quality. An L-fold Laserscope KTP pushing 60W is a real cannon but does not have the best beam out of the box. Speaking of box when you run that through your galvos you can definitely spray thick beams everywhere and have plenty to go around. As long as its high above your audience you should not have much issue.

I don't know what the fascination of pointing pointer type lasers at aircraft is but it's quite serious and just plain silly. As one person put it - set your pubes on fire with a 1W arctic instead! [sic]
