I had the same problem as several other people -- the AuthKey was already used (probably by some punk who bought the game, created an account, and then returned/exchanged it, grr). I sent email to Consumer Depot but got no response. I just noticed in my Consumer Depot account info that there is a new order "being prepared for shipment", but no mention of what it is -- might be a replacement version of the game. As several have said, Blizzard will provide a new CD-key for $10 if you ship them the CD sleeve box. They'll waive that $10 charge (money order only) if you show a proof of purchase no more than 30 (15?) days old. I'm not sure how Blizzard would react to a receipt from Consumer Depot as opposed to a receipt from a new-in-box purchase.

Quick followup. As mentioned above, I contact Consumer Depot to request a replacement. I did not get email back, so assumed the worst, but then I noticed in my "Orders Status" page that they had shipped another package out the day after my email. That package arrived today and inside was another copy of WoW. This time the authentication key was unused so I'm all set. Color me a satisfied customer -- the $19.99 copy of WOW was explicitly sold "as-is, no returns", yet they shipped out a replacement copy (costing themselves several bucks for FedEx) -- that's good service.

In the interim, I had contacted Blizzard customer service via email (they were extremely fast and responsive -- shockingly so) to ask about how to get a replacement key. Like several others on this thread have stated, they informed me that if I mailed back the CD case with the auth key sticker and a mail order for $10. I asked them if I could get one of the 10-day guest pass accounts so that I could start playing while we straightened out the auth key mess, and they promptly did. So I actually started playing on the account several days ago. Kudos to Blizzard customer service, too.

So much for the savings and quick shipping. I emailed them, requesting that we verify a valid key and that they merely ship me the outer cd sleeve that has a valid Auth. Key. I will update if I get a reply... if not I'm gonna try to go through Blizzard, since after doing an RMA, there's a chance I'd get another bad key from them.

same deal for me, except i didn't receive a key at all. they instead want me to return the box (that looked like it had been through about 3 retail store returns) wasting my own money shipping it for a REFUND. Their own site states that there is no refunds. All I asked them to do was email me a new key, but they refuse.

DO NOT BUY FROM THEM ANYMORE, THEY MUST HAVE RUN OUT OF LEGIT COPIES OF THE GAME.

I took advantage of this twoweeks ago, and I got a legit copy. The box was opened, and the sleeve for the third CD is missing. But all four CDs were there, and most importantly the key code worked without problem. So I was a success story. I don't know if I would do it again though, I was definately sweating it after reading some of the more recent comments in this thread.

After calling Blizzard it seems I have to mail them the sleeve and a money order for $10 and I'll get a replacement. I've emailed Consumer Depot asking for another copy sent to me and I'll send this one back once its been verified working. Now I play the waiting game. Someone stated a "stolen CD key" method to go through to resolve this but I havent seen this anywhere on Blizzards site or off of Google doing a search.... if anyone has any info please share

Just send a copy of reciept proving when you bought it to Blizzard and they will waive the $10 fee and email you a new CD key. Delayed me getting online by 1 day and included a free month to boot. Not a bad deal IMHO.

I have no problem going past 225 with first aid, but tailoring still has the problem with all tailoring recipes showing as orange difficulty even though they aren't.
Annoying and unfortunately will probably never be fixed but at least can be worked around.

Edit: Gaah I was looking to playing some WOW on my lunchbreak and instead spent it waiting for the latest patch to download on my home computer (can't do torrent style transfers at work) then wait for it to download to my laptop, then install. All this waiting better have Tailoring fixed at the end of it!

Because this game suck?! Haven't played it, don't intend to, just a thought.

Stop thinking...you may give yourself a headache. I don't play this game but if this is legit, this is a very hot deal. I'm tempted but I vowed never to touch another MMORPG after Final Fantasy XI.

Come on...you know you want some more crack.

I don't know what the deal is with shipping, but we paid $4 shipping for 2 copies to Illinois last week, and it took 2 days to get.

I ordered this on June 6th (against my better judgement, but i'm cheap) with a cd-rw thrown in so the shipping would only be $4. The package arrived on the 9th. The game box had obviously been handled before, and looked like it had been opened as well. The game installed perfectly on 2 different computers, however, and I was able to start playing using the guest pass that came with the game.

When it came time to put in my actual cd key I was appropriately frightened, judging by many of the tales of woe on this thread. It worked perfectly for me now, though, and now when I play it says i'm playing on my subscription, not just on a guest pass. So it doesn't seem as though they're out of legit keys, but it really is just the luck of the draw.

ordered on friday, got it today

i added a cd-rw to lower the shipping.

the WoW box only had the manual and product catolog, no cd or cd-sleve. bummer.
to top it off, they didn't send the cd-rw. hmm....

we'll see how they respond to my email.

Wow, if that didn't suck so much, it'd be hilarious. You know, one of those "you'll look back on this one day and laugh" kind of deals.

Here's my experience with this deal, for those considering placing an order.

For those considering this deal, remember that if you get a bad key, and you RMA with Consumer Depot, you may wind up getting *another* bad key from them in the next package they send. Their Terms and Conditions clearly state that you will not receive a monetary refund if they send you a defective product and do a return... you will have to choose between a replacement (which, again, could easily contain an invalid key), or store credit. Shipping charges and the time you spend waiting will add up after a while. On my order, I sent a series of emails detailing how, with the open-box ones, they could easily and quickly check the Auth Keys on Blizzard's site prior to sending out the product to customers, to save customers from having to deal with a lot more time and effort spent to resolve bad keys later, and their replies suggested to me that they had no interest in doing that.

In the end I wound up being frustrated and unhappy with their customer service, and I won't be shopping there again. On the bright side, Blizzard did send me a valid key when I followed the proper channels with the invalid key I had received (and did not charge me the $10 fee since it was within 30 days), so if you do get such a key, you will probably still have a good deal if you follow Blizzard's key replacement procedure, if you don't mind the extra effort, shipping fee to Blizzard, and time spent waiting.
