I was wondering if there was a way to see if an accoutn is online by going to the WoW community site. If anyone knows how please tell me

Your own account status: www.worldofwarcraft.com click the ACCOUNT MANAGEMENT button at the top.
Someone elses online status: Not possible.

The only way to know would be to try and log in to your account. It'll tell you that the account has an active character and not let you in.

I agree with the earlier poster who suggests to your leeching friend to get his own account.

It definately says someone is already on that character, then it boots you back to login. I tried it just the other day actually.

That only happens if you attempt to login with the same character.
