World War Two in Colour

Some of these photos are amazing in quality. I guess this just goes to show you that the capturing technology was light years ahead of the printing technology...

No it wasn't obiously the site proves colour film existed during the war. Colour film existed before they shot Wizard of OZ (1939). My memory is a bit fuzzy (its been a few years since my A/V and Communicatons Class), but I belive the fist colour moving pictures were taken in circa 1931. World War II in Europe was from 1938 to 1945 and the USA did not become fully involed untill Adolph Hitler declaired war against the USA on December 8, 1941.

Thanks for the history lesson. Obviously I wasn't denying the existence of color photography. I meant that black and white is all we ever see. Duh.

Well this is a pretty famous pick of the Soviets capturing Berlin which pretty much ended the war in Europe, but still very good I think.
