Had to be the Pentium Overdrive 83mhz for 486DX2 66mhz.

Complete POS...didn't give even half the performance gain claimed on the box.
That was before I knew about reviews, magazines whatever.
I believed everything intel told me.

Another Cyrix PR 200 vote. That 75 mhz bus was a pain early on....

Had a K6-2 450 that needed a voltage boost to run at default speed once though.

Nobody's mentioned the old AMD 5x86 PR75. AKA a souped up 486 133. Ungodly slow piece of crap. Great for running word perfect but unless you liked playing pack man or games made to run on a 386 you were just SOL.

worst or slowest? Slowest would have to be whatever was in my TRS-80 model 4 slowest pc would be the 8088 in my old IBM PC-XT (640k of RAM & a 40MB Hard drive). worst would definitely be the Athlon 650 I had for 6 mos. That POS crashed every day in windows 98/ME/2K, wouldn't install _any_ distro of linux, froze _every_ time I accessed my Kenwood 72X with DMA enabled. the only thing that didn't suck hole about it was that I got it and a gigabyte motherboard for $199 (in Dec. 99). upgraded to my current setup and everything's running (almost) fine.

Nova, that was a great overclocker (at the time).

I oc'd mine to 160. Couple that w/16 megs of EDO RAM and I was able to play Quake @ 25 fps @ 512x384.

That was similar performance to a P-75 w/out the P-75 price back in 1994. I only remember that (Intel's) prices back then were ungodly high. The same for RAM, too.
