I am in a moral dillema. Fighting with myself as it were. Started visiting a chat room after a couple of years of near abstinence from the habit. I meet this woman and I'm begining to develop an on-line relationship. I'm still learning about her. So far, I am enjoying the experience... would you try to build on this into something real?

As always with these things, proceed with caution. Take your time and you will soon know whether you want to move forward or keep it as a friendship-at-a-distance.

Also, for me the #1 consideration would be "What kind of parent would she be?".

There are times when I want to strangle Mr Isla but then I see what a good father he is and I have mercy. He is step father to my oldest, and although he has not been perfect, he has made a wonderful effort.

Just a quick update. Things are going very well. I find a somehwat blunt honesty and openness which I find refreshing in this woman. We're getting together for spring break down here for a week.

Kind of weird sharing this at ATOT, but some of you have witnessed the tragegies in my life, there's always more doors to open it seems.

I don't see anything wrong with it, although it might be hard if she doesn't live near each other. If you like her and vice versa then what's the problem? Get together for a meal or something and spend some time to get to know her, it couldn't hurt.

If I ever had the slightest intention of moving from "chat room" to a relationship, I would no longer conduct business over the net. Phone calls, visits, letters only, since resources permit.

In my mind, those things are much more personal and represent a level of commitment beyond chatting when you both happen to be online.
