its ok, there are many kids who actually flunk out.. if you are still in just hang in there. I have been slowly bringing up my GPA, aiming at the 3.0 sometime soon.
things I learned:
1)do some research before picking a class or a prof
2)dont skip all the classes, show up at least once in a while and the last day before tests/exams
3)get in a network of people from the same class so you can help each other out on homeworks, projects, test preparations and whatever
4)dont be shy to drop classes, its better to get Ws then Fs
5)First year can be pretty tough with "weed out classes" where they show no mercy with ruthless grading criteria
The cold, brutal truth at college is no one really cares if you fail a class. No one pushes you to do stuff to turn in, study for the tests so you are on your own.
Whatever happens, just remember it isnt too hard to bring your gpa up if you havnt gotten too many credit hours down yet.
