Wow.. the stupidity

So I'm in my logic class at my university (which is a small college known as UAT or university of advancing technology). Anyways, this past week the professor for the course was supposed to email all of the students the final. The final was never emailed out and we have been sitting here waiting for it in the email, as it is now 2 days past (Monday) when we were supposed to turn in the final to be graded.

I thought something was up with the teacher, he is an older guy, but really nice. He actually gave me a book for free about logic just cause he saw I was working hard in the class so he thought I deserved it.

Anyways, I decided to email the Dean/Provost about it because I wasn't really sure who to go to, he emailed me back thanking me for bringing it to his attention and he emailed the correct person to take care of it. The academic affairs lady emailed the whole class stating she was trying to get ahold of the professor and that she has succesfully done so and the teacher has had some extreme technical problems (Cox internet disconnected his internet and couldn't figure out how to fix it).

So he emails us tonight, giving us our final and stating that he was sorry for the absence and things of that sort.

That's when I get this email from one of my peers who hardly ever shows up to class, and who was in a group with me (where he did not complete his part of the presentation when we were in the group).

His email consisted of this:

Subject: WTF?

To: all the students in the class

Body:

"Who the hell contacted the school about our final?! We were so close to not having to take one. Whoever did it deserves his ass beat. Fuck you. I was done with everything too."


I took one look at this and said.. Ohhhh myy godd. Are people really this fucking stupid? I mean the kid doesn't get that the teacher was just having some technical issues and that he's still going to get the final no matter what.

I promptly emailed him back stating: Did you read the email? Did you see that the teacher was going to email the final no matter what because he was just having some technical problems? So yeah, it doesn't matter if a student contacted the school about the final, you would've still been taking it.

Now I'm awaiting a reply

Cliffs:
1. Teacher didn't show up and wasn't emailing the final (as planned).
2. I Emailed the school about it, and all the students were emailing each other wondering where the teacher was.
3. I received an email from the dean, and he had gotten someone to contact the teacher
4. Teacher sends email of apology and final
5. Student that did absolutely no work in my group emails class stating that whoever talked to the school about it deserves his ass beat and Fuck you.

It can be applied there, but is just called the Fundamentals of logic

It's basically stuff you can use in programming like If.. then statements and If and only IF statements.

There's different operators and different ways of drawing things like in a Venn Diagram and such.

I needed a gen ed course my final semester, big lecture class. It was guaranteed that after each class I would get at least 5 emails looking for the notes. Near the end of the semester people started asking for the whole semester's worth of notes. People were doing so terrible in the course (I had studied for a total of 4 hours outside of class for the whole semester, got an A+) that the professor did an extra credit project. Basically you had to study a population. He specifically said that you couldn't directly talk to the people you were studying, aka no surveys.

For a freaking month my inbox was full of those surveys you can make in about 5 minutes. Half were about drinking and drugs, asking things like "Do you like to party hard?" and "Do you like to get plastered?".

I can't believe that these people are smart enough to remember to keep breathing...

Dude. He saw an opportunity to post a hilarious video and took it. You weren't snitching on anybody and had every reason to contact the university. I would have done the same.

I would've done a "Reply to All", OP, with your email to that moron. You did the right thing, but I probably would've asked the teacher directly rather than the Dean.

Or maybe it suggests that guy's name was on the email when he sent it in that handy little section they have set aside titled "From"


OR

He has the capacity that even toddlers have to relate names to objects or people with only having heard it a couple of times.
