Ugh, f'n terrible move. I know they've been talking about putting it in the Macombs Dam Park (or something like that), but I've heard nothing about being a done deal. Where did you read that it was?

I heard it on WB11 news. And why exactly is that terrible news? I think they deserve a new stadium more than any other team.

Why do they deserve a new stadium? I have no complaints about the current stadium whatsoever. Amazing history, beautiful stadium, small enough so there's not a bad seat in the house, big enough to hold a tad of 57 and the list goes on and on. I absolutely love the place.

It is a terrible move because they are tearing down &quot;The House That Ruth Built.&quot;
It is a matter of the history that is involved with Yankee Stadium. Other than that, it isn't a bad thing.
But it is a money thing also. More money can be generated from the new stadiums because they can build more luxury suites and what not.

NO, it's not going to be a dome, IF they do build a new stadium, and IT IS NOT OFFICIAL, it will more than likely be a retractable roof stadium. Steinbrenner has been whining for ever that he wants a new stadium, and Rudy is going to try to get it done before he is out of office, but it is not official yet.

No, I'm pretty sure it is. Both mets and yankees are building domes right next to their current stadiums.
