Whup dee doo, I hope they go on strike for 59 years. Less time for the wife to watch TV, more time for me to play video games.

I like Carpoolers and Big Bang Theory . TBBT definitely got a lot better as it went along, although Sheldon's character can be a bit too annoying sometimes. I still think my old roommate and I had to have been rolemodels for those two characters. The episode where Leonard gets some action had a lot of dialog that sounded like I was Forward to the Past reliving my college days .

ABC - Carpoolers
CBS - The Big Bang Theory
FOX - Til Death
NBC - Heroes

I don't know if these other shows are affected, but I also watch Chuck, Reaper, Dexter, My Name is Earl and sometimes K-Ville. Those bastards better not preempt my Dexter... I want to know what happens and I'm way too lazy to read the books (the show is only roughly based on the book anyway).

no daily show / colbert report kills me.

like, it interrupts my weeknight routine of play warcraft, brush teeth, watch TDS/CR, go to bed.

Maybe families will actually talk to each other now? Or God forbid, eat dinner together?

Hopefully Stewart or Colbert will just wing it on the fly.

TV's are more interesting than people, otherwise we'd just have a person sitting on the entertainment center.

This is really gonna be a setback for Colbert's 08 presidential campaign.
Well heck, now he can brush up on his speech writing and orating skills.

I wonder how long they'll wait it out.

one of my coworkers was telling me about how Letterman was winging it during the last strike and was actually really great.

doesn't seem like it'd be that hard... topical joke, silly face, interview, repeat.

None of those shows going on hiatus affects me at all. I don't watch any of them on a regular basis.

Don't care about strike length and I certainly don't care enough to pick a side in this battle.

The only shows on the big networks I watch regularly are:

House
Prison Break (and my interest is fading fast).

I had to look hard to find a show I care even a little about & all I could come up with is 2 1/2 Men which I watch once in awhile with my older daughter ... the reality is if I didn't hear on the news this strike was going on I would never have known the difference.

I wouldn't be surprised if Stewart, Colbert and the other talk show hosts are members of the writers guild themselves.

I couldn't care less about any of those shows since I do not watch them. I stopped watching the Tonight Show when Johnny Carson retired, Leno cannot hold a candle to him.

I agree that Leno certainly isn't nearly as good as Johnny was, but I still watch occasionally. I've watched the Tonite show since the days of Jack Parr...but once Conan takes over...that will be the end of it for me. I can't stand the guy.

Glad to see I'm not alone on that. I still watch the Tonight Show occasionally as well. I hope something happens and Conan doesn't get the show when Leno leaves. I just don't see the humor/entertainment in Conan. I think hes pretty annoying.

Has House M.D. been put on hold yet? and how many episodes were completed? Thats really the only show I watch anymore.

I'm really going to miss Torchwood. Oh wait, that's the BBC.

But seriously, there's not a lot on T.V. that I will miss that much. I miss Blade: The Series, but that was canceled. So it's fair you all get to suffer like I do. :moon:

And your poll needs to include the item: All those shows suck, I like some other show nobody else must watch.

I'd be missing Colbert / Stewart. Except my satellite receiver died like 2 months ago and I still haven't replaced it.

A bunch of shows that arent listed anywhere will be effected, as almost none of them have episodes to play after the christmas break. So if the strike goes on that long...
