I can see where he was coming from.
It plays to the stereotype of black men as sexual predators who have sex with easy white women. It was the basis for the majority of the lynchings during the 20th century, when black males would be accused of making attempts of southern white females and consequencially be found beaten and dead soon thereafter.
It is a very valid point, please read Light in August by William Faulkner for further commentary/literary example.

Yes I have seen the show, but it just doesn't click with me what is so funny. I can see why "Desperate Housewives" could be a popular show based on its complex suburbabn female drama, but what's so funny about some blonde throwing herself at a random football player?

Probably because the blonde throws herself at everyone on the show and they comment it on the show. It seems to me that it's a tie-in joke with the show.
I think this just has gone overboard. I guess since the Hispanic wife on DH is having an affair, that's stereotyping all Hispanic women as that? I guess it's stereotyping as blondes as being slutty?

Apparently it needs to be spelled out for you. The woman was chasing after HIM. She was "desparate." Duh. He wasn't stalking her or coaxing her or anything. She just kept throwing herself at him. I don't see the racism here. Maybe you have to possess a pathetic victim mentality to find offense and oppression in every stupid little situation that involves race.

Just because an easy blonde (another stereotype) throws herself at me doesn't mean I will go with it, but the fact that the player does, while blowing off his work, shows his lack of morality. Perhaps you should go read Faulkner's novel like I said, so that I don't have to spell it out for you.

like someone else said, it could have easily been Jeremy Shockey in the role of TO and it would have gone over the exact same way and if it can go over the exact same way if its a white player, how is it racist?

The fact is that it wasn't Jeremy Shockey, it was Terrel Owens. Your argument is baseless because it never happened, whereas this stereotype of blacks has existed for over a century.

why does anything negative that remotely involves a black person become a racially offensive?

no it wasnt Shockey because he isnt playing in that game...the whole point was to have a star player from a team that is playing...they were trying to advertise "Desperate Housewives" as a show about woman doing anything for sex trying to get the male football market to watch...the stars of the teams that played were McNabb and TO (dallas has no one this year!)...
