People are moving back to the darker liquors. Bourbon scotch whiskey are all seeing an uptick. The baby boomers made vodka more popular. Personally I prefer bourbon.

Meh, vodka is pretty interchangeable IMO. Plenty of non-russian made vodka that is good.

Good bar help is hard to find.Bourbon is my favorite. However the number of times I've been at a club and asked what bourbons they have only to be told "Jack Daniels, Crown, Jameson" for me to have to inform a freaking bartender that a Tennessee whiskey, a Canadian whiskey, and an Irish whiskey are all not bourbons.
