Hello Fellow AnandTech members,

I need your help in finding out some more information about the company www.infenet.com. They are selling a so called internet service and claim to say that if you join you could get rich selling thier service. I called up the BBB in California to find out but they really had no information on them available.

I figured that there are many people on this fourm and someone probably has heard of them or has dealt with them.

Can you please provide your opinion or feedback on this company. Some of my friends have bought into the pitch and are now asking me to join and being who I am I want to know more than they have told me which sounds too good to be true.

this smells like a scam,

their fancy web site provides you with ZERO info about the company, www.infenet.com is registered to some one in a residential area, and if you do a google search for infenet the first item is a message board talking about how it is a scam.

Plus it looks like they charge you $300 just to work for them.

I've always felt that any sales offer that is brought to me - whether it be a telemarketer, spam email, or this type of thing - is definitely not worth 2 seconds of my time.

If I want something, I'm going to spend time researching to find out what the best product is, then compare prices.

You know that cliche... "if it sounds too good to be true, it probably is." ? ... well this is when I would use it. I saw an ad in the paper for a work-at-home data entry type deal that would earn me a lot of money. When I called, they said the software would cost $190. Well I paid it because I really was that desperate for a job while in school... and guess what... I was out $190. Over a period of 4 months, I called the supervisor of the place back and it was obvious he had no intention of refunding my money. It was a lost cause and just sucked it up... thought of it as a lesson learned.

I'm a non-subscriber to Anandtech... and it takes a piss-ass-long time to load this page to post a reply. But I felt it's worth it to save another person from falling for these make-money-now scams. Get an honest job... unless you can predict tonight's lottery numbers.

I saw an ad in the paper for a work-at-home data entry type deal

One of my friends looked into one of those once. They told him you had to type 80 words-per-minute minimum! :Q

This place would probably be better recieved around here if they were called Inefnet.com

My brainbench.com certificate states:

Raw Words Per Minute (WPM): 85 WPM
Accuracy-Adjusted WPM: 84 WPM

I can't believe that's only good for a 3.8 out of 5.0... I didn't even make MASTER level.
