You may not need anything. I would install the AMD X2 drivers anyway, just get them from AMD's website. I havne't installed the microsoft patch on my X2 system, because I've had none of the stuttering in games/affinity problems that some people have. If you do experience them, then get the microsoft hotfix, and be sure to do the registry edit as well.
There is no official link. You either have to call MS and have the hotfix sent to you or search this forum. There are some people hosting the hotfix privately.
And what stevty2889 said is exactly what I did. Installed the AMD "driver" and never had any problems (was a clean install of windows XP pro SP2).
Can someone who knows where to download the hotfix (actual URL) point me to the correct address? I really hate to go through Microsoft to get it even though I have a legit copy of Windows Media Center MCE 2005.
