I'm shocked at the misleading information that the others here have given you. The DFI board WILL NOT work with that processor. The X2 4800 requires a motherboard with a 4800-pin socket. That board only has 939. Conesequently, a motherboard with approximately five times as many pins will cost approximately five times as much.
go for a opteron 165 or 170 and oc it! saves like 500 bucks or something? even a X2 3800+ will get 2.4 ghz (95% of all cases or something?), thats 500 bucks saved right there.
