Very large difference. I am also on a different system though. My last was a 3400+@2.4gig, and 2x512 HyperX PC4000. This is a 3500+@stock, and 2x512 Mushkin LvL2 PC3500.

At my res of 1680x1050 and the settings I was using, which was everything to the highest, its MUCH faster. But I expected that. I couldnt really use 2xAA without some slowdowns, 4xAA was really not worth it. It doesnt slow down at all now at 4xAA with the limited gameplay I have tried.

Got the card for $525 shipped.. with retail games unopened. HL2 and BF:V. Just sold HL2 for $40, so its well under $500 for the card net.

You paid extra for a SLI motherboard, and bought an ATI card? Why? (nothing against the X850, love my X800 XT PE, but I would have saved a few coins with a normal nForce 4 motherboard if you have no intention of using SLI)

yeah i would of waited a bit longer and dropped money on the new DFI Nforce 4 boards, the ultra ones mind you, i dont really see the need or point in SLI just yet. plue the Ultra DFI boards can be modded with a bit of solder or even a pencil to make them into a SLI board

I hear good things about DFI, but I really dont like their look. Looks cheesy, neon colors, etc. 4.0 memory voltage though, that would be nice.

ronn, the card is VERY loud for the first 3 seconds or so after you power on the PC. Until it gets to the bios, then the fan slows way down, and is next to silent. No amount of gaming as yet made it crank back up.
