xbox audio/video question...

I got a nice receiver for Christmas and want to use my xbox with it. The problem is that my tv is an older model and only has 2 RCA connectors for inputs (1 for audio, 1 for video). Will either the Advanced AV pack or the HD pack let me connect the sound through my receiver (I have an optical cable so that's no problem) and still let me input the video through those old 2 rca inputs? If so, which one?

Advanced AV pack will do just that. Let you get the nice sound you want with your optical cable and your standard video with the rca connection.

you can always get a Y-cable that will combine the Red and White RCAs into a single stereo/mono line. Otherwise, just use the white line. Worst case scenario, you can get an RF modulator box (like this) and hook it into your coax and run your receiver's output into this.

This guy is correct. Look here. On the picture, you'll notice the 3 normal outputs, the yellow video, and red and white audio. What you can't see is the S-Video out and optical out that are also there. So you can use a combination of things with this the Advanced AV Pack.

So you can use the optical out (remember to enable Dolby Digital in the XBOX Dashboard, if that's what you'll be using), and you'll have to purchase a yellow video cable to transport the video to the TV. The AV pack only comes with S-Video cables and regular red-white audio cables.
