Xbox tough to find. Lately only Walmart has been stocking it occasionally and it sells out in seconds. Every 10 min they restock after the initial restock. After a few refreshes I'll see it in stock but when I immediately click add to stock, it's unable to do so as it's now out of stock.

Sorry to hear. Six months ago Walmart.com was the easiest place to get one of the current gen consoles. You just had to use the direct add to cart links instead of adding to cart from the product webpage and then blitz through checkout, but they have since gotten rid of the ability to do that I think. Sucks because that's how I got my PS5 and a few others I know got their's. Actually read about the method from another poster here in the PS5 thread after failing over and over with Best Buy, Amazon, and then also my first try with Walmart.com.

Gamestop bundles may be a way to go. I know on PS5 the Gamestop bundles would usually last 10-15 minutes and would be something like PS5 + two games + extra controller for MSRP. Not sure if they last as long with Series X. I remember also hearing Gamestop would give priority to people in their membership plan to buy the consoles by themselves before the general public could try. Might be worth a shot.

Yeah, that sucks...Walmart was easy. I got my X on my first try when I tried to get one a couple months back.

Little surprised it isn't available already but Microsoft is bringing xCloud to Series S|X and the One by the end of the year.

They have been very slow with this. PC was just enabled a few months ago. I think they were mostly waiting until they could upgrade the server blades to Series level hardware. This is best for Xbox One owners, though I wonder how well the streaming will work on those systems as the network performance wasn't great.

Tried to get in on a few more Series X drops, no luck. After repeatedly trying today I snagged a pre-order of the limited edition Halo Infinite Xbox Series X. It does look pretty dope. But it doesn't come out until 11/15 - which sucks as BF2042 comes out on October 22. Truly a first world problem.

So.... Hades just hit Gamepass, I think. Regardless I just found it.

I loved Bastion, skipped the middle sword game for some reason, but this game is addicting AF to my "dopamine from getting perks" brain. The way you don't end up with cruft because you reset? Actual story (so far)? Amazing.

Series X runs it like a top, clearly. If my stupid Sony set didn't have issues with 120FPS I'd see if that was an option. This is the first game I've played in a while where I feel like getting the twitches dialed in is worth it.

@MrSquished - that does look freaking sweet. The first few weeks will probably really rough anyway. Maybe you'll be in after the first big patch

GameStop bundle is how I got my ps5 too. It was still a drag and it seemed like it would never work because the add to cart buttons didn't do anything but I kept refreshing and trying.

I completely lucked out on the series X by using the Walmart app to check stock. I just randomly showed up one day when the app said they had it in stock. They were supposed to be for online I think but the guy was cool enough to sell it to me.

Bundles do see like a way to get the consoles quicker - AntOnline also only does bundles.

But some people just don't want to spend an extra couple hundred on shit they don't want. It really just varies.

I've never cared about Halo, but that XSX does look good.

The Forza special edition controller looks more like a RAGE 2 controller.

It does look really cool. It looks like it has a glowing blue light coming out of the top. Does the regular XSX have a glowing light of any kind in the top? Or am I not seeing this properly.

I don't think there is a light but I really don't know because mine is on the top shelf of my AV rack.

Negative. Looks green in there but it's just the color of the plastic near as I can tell. Aesthetically I still give a huge nod over the PS5 monolith but I play both and don't tend to stare at them

That makes more sense. I would have been surprised to see an actual glowing light in it. I play my console at my computer desk, so my console sits a few feet from my keyboard on my giant desk (I use the XIM Apex to play keyboard/mouse), so the appearance of the console is I guess a bit more prominent for me, though I would not care which version I got. Getting the limited edition was a random lucky bonus. I think the black Xbox looks good.

Yeah PS5 is very strange looking. Making mine black took quite a bit of the eye sore away though.

Saw an article that this may be the season of Xbox - since they have Forza and Halo coming out while Sony really has nothing exclusive until next year that's even close to being as appealing.

I have no idea, I am not a big gamer in the sense I only like a select few shooters - Battlefield, Halo, and looking forward to the spiritual successor to Left 4 Dead

anyways, they said Microsoft may definitely beat Sony handily this holiday season in sales.

Well you can just set it on ebay and see what the price ends up going for. Or on Facebook market place. You will definitely sell it easily. I'm just not sure how much people are willing to pay over for it compared to a PS5.
