eCOST.com has this credit card sized PDA for $56.50. Seems like a pretty nice deal. Anyone here have any experience with this model?

i have mixed feelings about the rex.

i own one and it is handy as an extremely small contact organizer.

if you buy one, i recommend getting a cradle as well.

even though you can now (rex pro edition), enter data on the fly, using the cradle is SOOO much easier.

as long as you have limited expectations about it's uses and functionality, you'll be ok.

How does the $25 instant rebate work for the pcmall.com deal? I went almost all the way to the end of the checkout process and still did not see the price reflect the $25 off.

Two questions ...

Does anyone know if the $25 instant rebate is built into the $59 price?

Does the PCMall Rex come with the cradle? It talks about the cradle, but on buy.com they specifically mention "with cradle".

The 25 rebate is built into the 56 price. No docking station included at pcmall. You can buy the docking stations cheap on fleabay, but expect to pay at least 15 with shipping. You can save 20 more by pricematching with Staples and using a 20 off 50 coupon. Staples does not have a docking station either. But you can use a pc card slot instead of a docking station.

I pricematched eCost to their shipped price and then used 20 off 50 for a grand total of $48 and change including tax. I'm not sure if it's worth it.

Zoiks, the Rex and the Palm have different uses. I carry my Rex with me all the time, as long as I have a pocket. Do you carry your Palm with you all the time ?

The Staples site specifically says 5001 does not come with docking station. I hope they are wrong, because I need another docking station, one for home and one for work.
