Hello.
I have a Plextor CD-RW in my new rig. I run Windows XP pro on it.
I am having an issue with CD Burning that completely baffles me. I have installed XP about a million times on a bunch of different rigs at work, and often those rigs have a burner. When I attempt to use the native Burning feature of XP on those rigs, everything went well.
On my box though, it's a different story.
1) The burner is recognized as a Plextor CD-R
2) The proper services are running
3) I am logged in as Admin
4) Drivers, etc seem to be fine
The problem is, XP wont let me burn CD's. No errors , no nothing, it just refuses to acknowledge my CD burner can actually burn. When you right click a folder and select send to, my burner does not show up there ( it should). In the left hand pane on the my computer window, there is not option to "burn file/folder" to disc...
Im stumped. I could find nothing in the KB. Plextor's site says my drive should work "very well" with XP. I tried un-installing the drive and having it re-detected..... any ideas?
Thanks!
