i didnt ask for a debate just hack
If I wanted to "hack" >IE8 to work with XP, I would also consider that in order for it to be a worthwhile exercise, I would need to be able to check that it's doing just about everything correctly afterwards (including say encryption), let alone the fact that I may as well be in the same fix to begin with if I can't (reasonably) easily apply security patches to it.
Alternatively, installing FF, Safari or Chrome is a million times easier and is supported by people who know a heck of a lot more about browsers than I do.
