XP and touchscreen

adding a touchscreen to laptop, does XP recognize and work with it without using XP tablet edition?

It should as long as you install the drivers. The tablet edition basically provides extra tools for you to work with the system. I'm assuming the touchscreen your adding is USB?

it does come with a drivers cd, i just havnt got around to installing it yet. looks too much like work
