XP Mobile 2200 - AQYHA 0427DPOW

Just got this chip from Newegg. My mobo is not here yet so I can't install it. Can't wait to find out that this chip can do. Anyone got any advanced info or comment?

Uh, it's a 35 watt mobile 2200? Made in week 27 of 2004?

Good luck on the whole overclocking thing. Every 2200 I've seen hasn't been that great, maybe yours will be better though.

AQYHA is good for ~2.3GHz. the one you want is IQYHA which are the ones that hit 2.5+.

wow you hit the nail on the head, my 35w 2200+ was AQYHA and wasnt 100% stable over 2.3ghz, but did 2.0@1.5v or 2.2@1.65 which is enough really, and still a good deal for the price.

does anyone know what voltage approximatelly is needed for that kind of clock?
I have an IQYHA and it runs at 2.2@1.625v. Higher clocks need higher voltage of about 0.075v per each 100 MHz.

To hit 2.5, I would say 1.80volts give or take. Depends a lot on your mobo/cooling etc.. Yours should be able to hit 2400 at 1.725-1.175 no sweat.

AQYHA will top out at around 2.3GHz stable, no matter how much you voltage you feed the core. AQYHA can usually do 2.2GHz (3200+) at around 1.6v. for that extra 100MHz to 2.3GHz though, its a crapshoot and depends on your chip and luck.
