Did you buy it from Winchester?
Academy Sports. They are bulk ammo, all mix up in the box.

Do you guys buy ammo in bulk? How do you like them?
I purchased Winchester 9mm in bulk boxes (100 each) from Academy and in one of the boxes, 9 of them have rust spots all over the shell and 1 of them has a deep cut/deform between the bullet and the shell (right at the neck) - no way I will use it to shoot.
I just sent an email to Winchester and will post a pic or two later. Very disappointed with Winchester quality.
What happened to the CZ-52s? Haven't seen them in years.
Winchester made the product, right? Unless Academy or someone else pulled and switched the rusty/deform bullets with the good ones during the process from the factory to the Academy store? Then your complaint isn't with Winchester
Sounds like it got left out in the weather. Was the cardboard box showing any signs of having been wet?
Ive bought plenty of bulk ammo. in fact if i buy factory ammo its all i buy unless its hunting rounds or self defense rounds. But most bulk is still packaged in 20 round/50round boxes. Even the loose bulk BVAC ive bought has been just fine too.
What do ya'll think about Boberg XR9? Expensive gun, worth it?

I've never heard anything good about the boberg. It's minimally smaller than my pm9 so never had any real interest.

Finally got the scope mount for my 5.45x39 AR build.. Upper is ready to go, and got some ammo in. Hopefully I'll get to shoot this shortly.
**Yes, it is still missing a compensator, haven't decided on one yet
Looks like you may want to use an extended mount - the eye relief is going to put your head pretty far back when looking through that scope.
In bulk less than 10% that may have shot fine is probably ok.
Lot's of bulk ammo requires the gun owner to inspect first.
Here are the pictures of the rusty/deformed rounds from Winchester. In a box of 100 rounds.
Interesting. I have shot thousands of those white-box Winchester 9mm rounds without incident. Is my memory failing me or was I paying $10-15 for these 100-count boxes at Wal Mart in the 2003-04 timeframe?

LaRue appears to have some nice "modified" 30rd mags for sale. I haven't had a chance to check it out since I can't buy "weapons" at work4 new magazines on their way. 10-round, CA-legal, instead of 15-round, standard "high-capacity" magazines

If he means the 100 rnd value packs like you get at a regular store......those should be 100% good to go. He's not ordering bases of surplus from some military surplus warehouse
The only 10 round mags I have are for my Savage Mark II...
The rest are STANDARD capacity 30 round and 15 round magazines.
