CTR is just the "style" of the stock...and yes you can replace it with ease at any time...just did a little looking and it is a pretty good deal, the lower build kit and that stock are about $169 alone, so I say go for it

OK sweet.

This is going to be my Christmas present to myself. I think I deserve it, I've been good this year. I only got banned 6 times!

6 is impressive...wish I had that much time to get banned

Good luck with the rest of the build and be sure to show it off here when you're done:awe:

I'm still looking for an upper myself, want something with a dimpled stainless barrel, but those seem to be hard to find:\

rudeguy... If it were myself I would prefer these to that one...?
http://www.surplusammo.com/saa-sa-15-grim-reaper-ar15-complete-lower-with-collapsing-stock/
http://www.surplusammo.com/magpul-moe-collapsible-carbine-stock-commercial/
Plus you would get an additional stock to put on another one...? Extra cost is only $17... Also I myself prefer the look of the "Grim Reaper" which can be painted to really make it stand out...

I had sold the one I had listed but have another one to keep in my small collection...

Purty. That's a -74 isn't it? How are 5.45mm prices since that ammo import ban?

It's actually a 47/AKM so 7.62. I don't really want a 74 because all of my cleaning supplies and stuff are all for .30 cal.

Matching polish kit with a genuine bulgy/russian sidefolder and chrome lined barrel.

Damn this is back from several years ago (back in or around 1996) I traded 2 each of the sweetest looking SKS's and if memory serves a little AR7 for a 1994 model stepside bed for a Chevy truck...? There were some other parts with it but I mean like damn I sure wish I had kept those guns...

Very sweet looking Merad...

This is an old cell pic with the faces blocked out for privacy.

The guy on the right is me in a better time with my 5.56 Tavor with Trijicon scope.

And my awesome hooka which has since fallen apart. And the girl smoking it is gone too but I really miss that gun...

Getting stoned and wielding weaponry, brilliant!

If only in most of reality that was true.

Honestly I've never known a pot smoker to spend that much money on a bong when they could build one out of random junk sitting around the house...hookahs were for yuppies to smoke flavored crap out of...could just be my experience

A lot of wealthy baby boomers smoke pot.

They spend a lot on that past time.

I agree, I wasn't smoking it, I got it for her, geez, I'm on the other couch in the picture.

It was the flavor tobacco crap too, not pot or opium or anything illegal.

It looks like it's pointed at the other person in the pic but that's because it has no depth of field, I pointed at the wall and didn't go near the trigger and just held it up for the pic.

I friend recently found it on an old phone from that time and emailed it to me (they were on the other side of the room taking the picture).

You also can't see because my arm is in the way and it's a bullpup but there was no magazine.

This is on its way to me. Will have it next week. Fuck Yeah.

Oh nice, a fellow Grand Power user. They are good bang for buck firearms.

I have a K-22 and a friend of mine has a K100.

I love his as it has a rotating barrel and has a really nice light single action trigger pull.

Post a range report when you get it in, I am looking at getting a 9mm and the x-calibur is on my short list.

...yeah. I won't say it's not part of why I want it...it's purdy. Lotta CNC time on that slide, not to mention that they manage to take a hammer-forged bull barrel and mill polished flutes into it. I'm no milling expert, but that just seems...difficult.

But the function of the whole gun is pretty one-off and very excellent, so it's definitely not a looks thing. The centerpiece of its function is shown here on an older 'service model' kinda variant of the same gun:

https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Q9OaXy5u3g0

The X-Cal is just the competition-oriented 5" variant of that gun. Still legal in 'production' classes but has no FPB and has an SA trigger in the 2-3lb range (silky smooth 5-6lb DA). Plus the obvious slide and barrel lightening (with tighter barrel and slide/frame fitment, also).

My only complaint is that they do not offer the two-tone version in the US. I'm already considering what I'm gonna get my slide coated with. Maybe I could just have it chromed or nickeled, because America Fuck Yeah.

But this is still pretty pimp, as-is:
