that FNX looks niiiiiiiiiiice!

I have finally started the road to an SBR

I sold my PSA M4 Carbine last weekend, and ordered a new upper/lower/handguard combo from aero precision to replace it

I will probably be able to pick it up sometime this week

I'll build it as a 'pistol' first, so I can use it, while I finish my C&R and then apply for my SBR stamp

though I am probably going to have the stamp before I finish the build, since I'm gun cash poor these days....

mostly because I am about to buy a police trade in glock 19 to build for cccw

Why did you sell the PSA carbine? Something wrong with it? I have a PSA mid length with rail and loaded and so far, so good.

G19 as CCW? You must be a fairly big guy.

there was nothing wrong with it. at all. it was pretty accurate, really.

I have another 16" AR, and I don't have room/funds to keep handfuls of them around. I really want a 10.5 to get a SBR stamp for, so it was the one to sell. I figured if I had to throw a few hundred at the lower for the stamp, I might as well get a nicer lower...

my other 16 is a LW with a nicer trigger, better barrel, FF hand guard.... about 6 lbs.

I'm 5' 8" and ~165 lbs. My main CCW is a kahr cm9, but my other is a glock 27 that I borrowed from a friend when I sold my other CCW piece

so this will be my doublestack CCW, I plan to stipple and cut it down to take g26 mags....

Thank you. Next up is getting an RMR for it, a friend ordered one through one of his pro-deals for me, who knows when it will arrive. a dual-illuminated model, in FDE, with a green triangle.

I have some glock 19 parts showing up this week myself, from silencershop. One of the new silencerCo threaded barrels plus a thread protector, to use with my Ti-Rant when I get the stamp approved.

I hope they pass a law allowing silencers in IL in the next few years.....

of course then I will have to rebuild my SBR upper to a shorter 300BLK setup and add a can

that will cost some dough

Hummm, I am a bit bigger and taller than you (5'10" and 190 lbs) and I hold the G17 and G19 in my hands multiple times and I would not want to put either one of them as my CCW due to the size and weight but it is just me.

I currently have a G26 and planning to get a G43 as my main CCW because the G26 is just a "tad" thick for me.

Speaking of SBR, what else do you need beside the paperwork and $200 extra cost to the government? I saw PSA has some nice short (10.5" or shorter) upper on sale right now.

just the paperwork and $$ for the stamp

but the C&R is like 35, so why put 235 in value on a 40 dollar lower

so I bought a nicer one, that's all.

I plan to put a much nicer barrel on it. I've seen some sub moa 10.5" sbr's, and I would like that.

like I said, my CM9 is my main carry......but I want a decent option that has more than 6+1. I DEFINATELY notice the weight difference between the CM9 and G27.

right now its a G27, but I dislike shooting it. so I rarely do, which is not optimal for a carry piece. sure, I can still hit all 8s when I do shoot it from 10 yards, but I don't like it, one bit.

I can get a 19 for way cheaper than a 26, and do extensive grip work to make it fit better(gen 4s fit great but cost way more). Ill try and do the reduction and stipple myself, if I suck at it Ill spend 100 on it to have someone fix it

and get a nice barrel for it. a KKM or something, eventually.

Looks staged, or the other guys are idiots for letting her hold a gun.

I'll go with staged.

definitely not staged at all. 100% of the time you fall to the floor in fear you roll several times or slo-mo throw yourself backwards like in the Matrix.

Gun shop that just opened in town has an AK47 bundle that I'm thinking about getting. Big thing making me think twice right now is that they don't specify who made the rifle. I suspect it's a Century Arms, but I suppose I won't know until I go in.

AK-47 CHAOS PACKAGE $1149.00
Includes:
• AK-47 with Quad Rails
• 4 30rd steel AK Mags
• RWB 75rd Drum Mag
• Vortex SPARC Red Dot
• NEBO 190 Lumen Light with Strobe
• GGG Vertical Grip
• Drago 36" Black Assault Rifle Case

Can't advertise or won't tell? Can't advertise I understand, sometimes manufactures have restrictions on sale prices. Won't tell=avoid no matter what in my mind. That's just unethical.

Maybe this is better price wise? $850 for a folding stock AK47 = http://palmettostatearmory.com/psa-ak47-zhukov.html

I haven't gone in yet or called to ask, so I'm hoping it's just Can't. Completely agree that if I ask and they refuse to tell, the sale's off.

That probably would be cheaper overall, even if only by knocking off accessories I don't need, but I do prefer buying something that's just in stock locally instead of needing an FFL shipment.

I'm not super familiar with the accessories listed, but I know that scope is discontinued.

Apparently they're built after order by a gunsmith in each location. I didn't ask for detail on what parts they buy, but they're not just bundling a complete rifle from CA or PSA.

Definitely not my cup of tea, but not a terrible deal. I'd be curious about the finish, barrel, barrel treatment, country of origin etc etc.

I suppose the price isn't terrible, you're looking at a little over $400 for the major accessories ($100 drum mag, $200 red dot, $75 case, $30 each for light + grip), so say $750 for the rifle.

I dunno much about CA AKs, but my AK was built off of a matching SN Romanian Guard kit with all of the metal refinished by a well known local gun builder, so personally it's one of the nicer AKs I've seen. I got it with 10 steel mags and about 800 rounds of ammo for 1 grand, lets say the rifle was maybe $600-700 of that price, but this was in spring 2013 when panic prices were still going on. tl;dr I'm not sure I'd pay $700+ for an AK today.

And I'm really hoping that suppressors get dropped from NFA, but at the same time not very hopeful. If gun control people were smart they would embrace it as a compromise to try to gain leverage, but gun control is such an emotional issue for most people I doubt they will...
