Shards stacked in beta. Warlocks were way too powerful with them stacking. I think there is a good balance now.

Mages have a relatively severe bug affecting them sometimes. When an enemy is frozen and breaks free of the freeze, they appear to teleport right to their target. Even other party members sometimes see this. But in reality they are still running towards you, even though they appear to be on top of you and swinging. It really messes with a lot of tactics when it happens.

Yeah, and a lot else has changed since beta too (not claiming to have been there for it personally). It isn't the shards that are balancing warlocks. Today's warlocks with and infinite supply of stackable shards would be fine, due to cooldowns, damage, other limitations etc. What's left now is all of the pain, none of the gain, especially for high level pvpers. Spend time and money to travel somewhere to farm shards off xp-able mobs, each single one costing an inventory slot, then travel to the pvp site. Then to keep the supply of shards in pvp is extremely difficult unless you limit their use to where it would be pretty much the same as if you didn't have them. Helping out a lower lvl guildie? No shards from those baddies either.Shards stacked in beta. Warlocks were way too powerful with them stacking. I think there is a good balance now.
Hearing those who've played longer tell it, Blizzard explained that they thought it was "more fun" that way. Yeah, challenges/limitations can be fun, but in its current form it goes too far. Personally I think it was likely a balancing ingredient that got left in even as other debuffs were stacked on, an oversight Bliz doesn't want to admit to.I don't have a Warlock, but that is still something I don't understand. Has Blizzard ever tried to rationalize why they don't stack?
I thought I'd warn people about that cloth quest. I grinded for a bit in the Hinterlands to get 60 mageweave, got it, turned it in. I got 3700xp (not bad actually) and I think maybe a TINY reputation rise. I could hardly see it. Then I check again and wow, I can't donate mageweave anymore, only silk and wool. I have a very bad feeling that after donating wool and silk as well, it'll be nothing. As in, it doesn't appear to be repeatable.
Worst part about the Blizzard downloader? Ever since Star Wars Episode 3 was released to BitTorrent, Comcast has blocked traffic on all common BT ports.Originally posted by: Litchfield285
lol does anyone have a non fileplanet or filefront mirror? I'm having a hell of a time getting this patch, the Blizzard downloader is completely worthless...

So if you're a comcast customer, it's impossible to use the Blizzard downloader to download the game patch, since there's no way to change the ports it uses to try and transfer the file.

Considering they have been nerfed by every previous patch, this is a welcome change.
Nothing too major, but at least most of them are positive. Looking forward to my respec next level that will let me take advantage of the Siphon Life change.
Oh, I don't really PvP so that long overdue and massive change to allow soul shards from honorable kills is huge!

Mage Armor - Now has a new, unique icon.
Great all the other classes get fixed bugs new abilities all we get is a new icon for a spell that most mages barely use.
Mages were pretty balanced and bug-free before - take it as a compliment.
What happened to the AoE not hitting totems bug? Does blizzard even consider this a bug?

The only downside is that the population imbalance ensures that there are always 500+ alliance on queue, but sometimes not enough Horde to fight them.
