I think they only did 2 free fall tests. The guinea pig didn't exactly guess the right time, but he got close enough. He mostly got the first digit and came within a few digits from the second one.
On Combat by Lt. Col. Dave Grossman is an excellent read, and he covers distortions commonly experienced in high-stress situations (law enforcement shootings, etc). Slow-motion time, fast-motion time, auditory exclusion, visual exclusion (tunnel vision) are all brought up.
