Is it really popular in the USA? I finished watching the UK version, 7 years late to that party.... and now im watching the USA version, i like them both, pretty funny. Michael scott would be a cool boss to have imo lol.

Sorry. The US version is a zillion times better than the UK version. I've watched both many times and the only series that I find myself watching more is the US version.

It's based on the UK version like a lot of shows but the storyline changed a lot.
IMO, the US version turned out to be a lot lot better. Most people were very skeptical of the US series when it first started because the UK series was considered the bomb and the notion was that the new US version could never live up to the UK series. That changed later in Season 2 and Season 3. Check the Netflix reviews.

Ok, I'll check it out. Not really a Steve Carrell fan, but we'll see how it goes. Seeing him trying to be Ricky Gervais in the first season was painful; Gervais was so perfect in the UK show. Hopefully he makes the character his own in later seasons.

They have completely diverted from the UK plotlines and it is MUCH, MUCH better. If you have NetFlix, you can watch the episodes online for free. I think you can watch them on Hulu also for free. If you have the time, check it out. Then when you say it sucks at least you can say from the complete perspective. Or you might end up liking it. who knows...

I might have said that as well after the first season of the US office...but the US office has just gotten ridiculous awesome...the characters are fantastic. Andy, Oscar, Ryan, Dwight, Toby...all genius...

Not last time I checked. Stupid thing is they accepted me into the beta way back, but then said I wasn't allowed to watch anything because I was in Canada. :frown:
