Chinese New Year usually falls on February. We get money in little red envelopes from adults for good luck. That was usually my main source of income when I was a little kid (along with x-mas and birthdays).

little red envelopes are in celebration of chinese new years and they usually have either candy or money in them.
I'm asian and don't find it a bit offensive...its just funny that so many of those things are true

Also, I think the little red envelopes in February is for the Asian New Year. I believe it's some kind of cultural tradition...similar to our giving of presents at XMas.

I dunno. I think the only ones who complained were non-asians and they probably did it because they feared it would be offensive to asians. Well as an asian I can tell you I wasn't offended -- I could probably relate to about 90% of the list.
