My HS didn't have any of this weighted crap. 4.0 meant a perfect A in every class, didn't matter what kind of class it was.

HS: 3.0
I joined the swim team in my junior year and started partying. My grades dropped from a 3.5 avg fresh and soph years to a 2.5 avg junior and senior years.

First BS degree in General Science: 2.2
Second BS in Computer Science: 3.74

I graduated from my HS with a 4.25 GPA (weighted) and 8th in class of 525, did I mention that I was a father at the age of 16?

I also recieved over 50k for my scholarship

I'm in college right now with a GPA of 3.75 (damn C in chem101) studying Business Administration for Information Technology.

I'm not an uber straight A inhuman student like some of these people, but one thing that has always worked very much to my advantage has been my near perfect attendance. Good notes and study buddies are very good resources as well. Also, ask questions if you need to, and take advantage of the fact that your prof has office hours listed on the syllabus for a reason.
