Zacarias Moussaoui Verdict

His appeal will be rejected. He was told when he entered the plea that there would never be an opportunity to appeal. He could appeal the sentence but that won't change anything. The guy is a loon and an attention whore. To be honest, I seriously doubt he was ever going to be part of the 9/11 attacks.

Now if only the other 19 were as stupid as this guy...

I saw an op-ed piece in the Washington Times today complaining that he got off too easy, that it was unthinkable that he gets to "enjoy the rest of his life at taxpayer expense" followed by a rant on why criminal prosecution is wrong for terrorists. I'm thinking the author has never been to the kind of prison Moussaoui will be going to...a place I'm sure he'll be REAL popular. Anything to complain about, I guess.

Unfortunately he won't get a chance to meet new friends . I think he should get out every 6 months to go into gen-pop. Give him a stick of lipstick and tell him to have fun.

The dude had nothing to do with 9/11 and was a general loon. All of his claims of involvement have largely been dismissed. However, the presecutors saw a slam-dunk opportunity and decided to shoot for it.

He made a mockery of our legal system and we gave him a blow job for it. Now, he continues to do so because we were f'in morons in the first place.

My theory is that Moussaoui was never affiliated with Al-Quida--or a nut case like Richard Reeves aka the shoe bomber. Al-Quida is the real deal and they are never going to use someone that irresponsible in a real attack--or give a person that unstable details of any operational planning.

So we just sent away a man not totally innocent but certainly mentally ill--maybe its a feel good for many---but it don't make me feel any safer.-------all we have done is wasted too much time getting a false sence of security.

Lets just open the insane Asylems of the world---we can use the inamtes to clear every unsolved crime off the books, then lay off all the cops, and have paradise on earth.

I just have a question, and I havent been paying a whole lot of attention to the case so I may just have missed something, but where is the proof that he had anything to do with the attacks on 9/11? At first he completely denied it, and then all of a sudden he goes insane and admits to everything and laughs at the events that took place. I know that he admitted to it, but it just seems fishy. Im just thinking some foul play may have gone on while he was being kept behind bars. Im not trying to stir up any conspiracy theories but to me the whole thing just seems weird, I dont recall ever seeing any physical proof of who did what. Of course theres the Al-Qaeda tapes in which they claim they were the attackers and such but I just want to see some actual evidence. As far as I know there is no tangible proof that Moussaoui did anything, but let me know if I'm mistaken. If he was rightfully accused, I would say life in prison, I think that is much worse, I never understood why death was a harsher punishment than a lifetime without an actual life.
