Zalman & 6600GT AGPs

A $40 fan on a $160 card, that's umm 25% of the card cost.

Ummm, that would be a $35 fan on a $230 card. That's 15% of the card cost.

Anyways, be more constructive, I know others here have been asking about alternative HSF's on the 6600GTs, as there's no Arctic Silencer on the map for 'em.

I did the same thing with my BFG 6600GT AGP card. It was definitely worth it.

Hi cubby, I see you have edited out the original post. Could you repeat it for me please. I would assume it has something to do with a Zalman cooler you bought for your card. Could you tell me what cooler please.

I'm buying this for my XFX 6600gt ASAP. the only thing thats making any significant noise in my case is the graphics card ! so the old heatsink has to go - the Zalman looks like a very well made bit of kit and and it has 4 settings for voltage to the fan so you can settle on the noise level / temp drop of your choice.
