That's a huge difference, I can't wait. I sprained my right hand pretty badly on Monday so this will have to wait a few more days. Today is the first day I can somewhat type or use a mouse.
In case you guys that own the game want to play in 1440p or 4k on a emulator, here is the link to the Cemu version 1.7.4b emulator that runs great.

You will need to have a ripped copy of the game .

If you update the emulator to 1.7.4b the game should run smooth with a i5 6600+ and a Nvidia gpu gtx960+or faster recommended.
AMD gpu's do not work at this time.
If this is against the rules feel free to delete but I thought it was ok if you owned the game already.
There are settings and hacks that will make it run at 30 fps @ 4k.It doesn't look very smooth from what I have seen:

Plus any game you play on CEMU is filled with massive stutters while the texture cache is being built. That emulator is still a long ways from being a viable way to play Wii-U games.
It's supposed to be automatic and done in the background from what I've read. This both on the Wii-U and switch. I can't confirm, cause I sold my Wii-U and haven't been able to find a reasonably priced switch for the last couple weeks.I can't seem to get my Wii U version of BoTW to update to 1.1.1. Selecting the game in the menu starts it but gives no option to update it.
Can confirm my WiiU version updated on its own. Version is listed on the bottom right of the loading screen. It's supposed to be automatic and done in the background from what I've read. This both on the Wii-U and switch. I can't confirm, cause I sold my Wii-U and haven't been able to find a reasonably priced switch for the last couple weeks.
My Royal White Horse...
I got to that island super early in the game, I got demolished but I'm much further now that I'll go back soon.Have you done the island yet? You have to get on a raft and sail out to it with a leaf branch.
Well if you're wondering where numero 120 is, there it is.I got to that island super early in the game, I got demolished but I'm much further now that I'll go back soon.
I might actually finish it this weekend. I just have been putting off facing Ganon because I know I won't go back to the game after I beat him, but I don't think there is really anything else I want to do in the game. I mainly wanted to get 120 shrines but I don't know if I really care about all of the side quests or anything at this point. I have gone back to playing Uncharted 4 in my spare time so that is a sign that I'm kind of ready to be done with Zelda I think. And I've been playing GEM a little but not as much as I thought I would. I may this weekend though.Switch says I have over 50 hours and I've only beaten two Divine Beasts. I don't think I'm ever going to finish this game.
Fortunately, any taming that you do seems to stay even if you get thrown off as long as you catch the horse again quickly and continue the taming. I caught the white beauty for my wife when she had less than two full stamina circles and did get thrown off once but successfully tamed it before running out of stamina the second time (no stamina food used). The Great Book of Knowledge (aka Google) tell me that you need...
At least four 'levels' or full spheres of stamina to catch the royal steed.
