I live in Georgia, I am not a Republican, and I do not feel like Miller lied to the state. The statement "the will of the people was for him to be elected as a democrat" is what is wrong with politics, IMO. Do you not feel like the people have an obligation to vote for the best person for the job? Zell has always been conservative; his philosophy has not changed regardless of which party banner he flies under. He also happens to be one of a handful of people who I actually trust as a leader to do what he honestly feels is in the best interest of his constituents, instead of what is in the best interest of himself or special interest groups.

IMO, if you don't live in Georgia, you don't have a dog in this fight.

That's entirely untrue. In America we don't elect a party, we elect a man. You elect him because you trust he will make decisions which reflect your beliefs and interests. The fact that he is a member of the Democrat party or Republican party is entirely beside the point. People who are unfamiliar with our form of government, or are just lazy will vote for someone based on his or her being a Democrat or Republican without bothering to find out about the person himself. Is this a man who's decisions I trust? Is this a man I feel will reflect my needs in Washington? Those are the questions you should ask yourself before casting your vote.

Who the hell votes for someone based on whether the person is a democrat or republican? Apparently blind democrats like you do. And how the heck do you know what the will of the people in Georgia is?
