What would you do with a weak/low powered system?

Say I were to use the lightweight XBMC/linus-type OS, would an SSD even make a significant difference? I always figured you'd only want to use an SSD with windows, just because Windows is far more bloated. I looked at the FreeNAS solution; The huge RAM requirements for ZFS baffled me. Wasn't...

Why Intel processor are adviced than AMD for gaming?

Benchmark bias. You only buy Intel if you have a specific need (hackintosh, quicksync), or you have too much money. The average consumer wouldn't notice the difference between the 2 in everyday use. Because AMD is significantly cheaper than Intel, you can use the extra money towards something...

Need to upgrade to "stronger" wifi device

You know, I was in a similar predicament with weak wifi signals, packet losses, etc. I thought I'd give powerline a try, since I had nothing to lose, and it actually worked out really well. Powerline; there are ethernet adapters and wifi extenders if the device you're using does not have ethernet.

Going from I7-3770K to Pentium G3420. Will I notice any decrease in web browsing?

At that point, you might as well go with an AMD APU. Then you won't need a discrete card to run your monitor.

Wasteland 2 is looking more awesome by the update

I predict this game will be quite buggy and have an unintuitive UI. Would love to be proven wrong though. But when you have this much content, it takes a lot of time to do a quality check. And let's face it, it's never on top of the priority list. Very few companies care deeply about their games...
