Yep, looks amazing considering the source material. I mean it's Nightdive Studios, they've done some miracles at this point (the Shadow Man remaster is sublime, so were both Turoks and PowerSlave).
In the video, at around 13:50 it's important to pay attention to the Tick Rate / Refresh Rate issues he's talking about though. I bet plenty of PC users will not know about that and complain on the Steam forums about how the game is 'trash' and give it a low score. That's the kind of information that should be displayed in the actual game's store page to inform the potential buyers. I mean, it does say "Up to 4K 120 FPS" but that's it. It doesn't say that the 120 FPS limit is actually caused by the original source code's internal tick rate of 145.65 (and it's a speed that determines how _everything_ in the game operates). It's not the kind of info I would leave in the open for people to find out on their own if I was part of the dev team.
In any case, I am genuinely very happy to see this game making a remastered come back, it's fun. I did play it back then on the PS1, and what I remember the most from it was the level design, it was very intricate and multi-layered at the time (only something like Duke Nukem 3D had comparable level design, which came out just about 1 year after Dark Forces). I'll definitely consider buying it. I mean I played it a lot at the time, I actually owned a used copy back then and played pretty much every day until I got my hands on Disruptor and the first Medal of Honor (and, side note, Disruptor is one such 90s FPS game that should really be remastered, it was good... well good at the time anyways, so was Medal of Honor).
At this point I think NightDive Studios should really get their hands on Perfect Dark (I don't really care about any new Perfect Dark game, the original remastered is what I would really care for).
