There are honest people that work in this area. Most of our problems stem from us 1) not being exactly well paid (not sure this is true for places like Tom's Hardware or AT, and big splash youtubers may be entirely different thing), 2) usually having extremely limited time for every piece of news or review we make.
You have no way of knowing if your slander even covers 10-25 %, much less 50+ % of people working in "Journalism". You are doing no better than conspiracy theory (a.k.a. hoax) peddlers.
(Edit: sorry for coming in with a sudden outburst, but this a part of a bigger problem. Journalists and media are the thing that can and does expose corruption of politicians or the lies of disinformation spreaders. Thus, politicians preemptively started to slander media and paint them as the source of evil, same for the disinformation spreaders. Many people accepted this lie and now believe the liars' lie that it is not the liars, but actual lie-exposers that arey the problem. People are getting played against their own interests hard by this and it is a huge problem.
I work for a small *tech* website not in the iportant branches of journalism, yet I have been repeatedly insulted as "presstitute" and stuff like that by people that got infected by this way of thinking.
