Hello, so I’m new to this topic but I wanted to build my own pc most likely for gaming and done a lot of research to learn more and to see what can I do with a budget of 900/1000€.
I currently live in Portugal and so, here is what I’ve done:

PcPartPicker link: https://pcpartpicker.com/user/letrasxz/saved/gwNWrH
  • CPU - AMD Ryzen 5 7600X 4.7 GHz 6-Core
  • CPU Cooler - Deepcool AG400 75.89 CFM
  • Motherboard - MMSI PRO B650M-P Micro ATX AM5
  • Memory - TEAMGROUP T-Force Delta RGB 32 GB (2 x 16 GB) DDR5-6000 CL30
  • Storage - Silicon Power A60 1 TB M.2-2280 PCIe 3.0 X4 NVME Solid State Drive
  • Video Card - XFX Speedster QICK 319 Core Radeon RX 6750 XT 12 GB or Gigabyte GAMING OC GeForce RTX 4060 8 GB Video Card (I’m not quite sure if these are a good choice or which one to choose)
  • Case - Montech AIR 100 ARGB MicroATX Mid Tower Case
  • Power Supply - Corsair RM750e (2023) 750 W 80+ Gold Certified Fully Modular ATX
Any advices that you would recommend? Specially on the GPU?
Thank you

Welcome to the forums.

The 6750 XT sounds like a really good choice if it fits into your budget, and you can still find it. (The GeForce GTX 4060 gets you DLSS and better power efficiency, but that's about it.)

For storage, you probably can get an NVMe with PCIe 4.0. It won't make a big performance difference, but the cost difference is small. Overall, your list seems pretty good.

I'm not a fan of Team Group or Silicon Power...they're OK, but you should be able to get better quality for just a bit more money. (but, being in Portugal, I don't know your markets) And I agree...get a Gen 4 NVMe if possible.

What would you recommend for Storage and Memory?

I've seen this one, is it okay or can I get a good one still but at lower prices?

@letrasxz

Check WD prices as sabrent tends to charge a premium. As long as it's Gen 4 it should perform just fine. There are some that have small buffers though if transferring large data that slow down.

Of these two which one you think it would be better?

I haven't read any reviews, but IMO Sabrent is a good budget pick SSD like TEAM Group or Silicon Power. I'd rather have Samsung 980 Pro myself, but some people won't touch that because it had a firmware issue about 15 months ago. SSDs are a little tough on the budget right now, nearly double what they cost just 6 months ago.

The WB_BLACK SN850x 1TB is $95 on Amazon; it's a very good drive.

One good option for $80 is Crucial T500:

Most of the components (incl. RAM) on your list are just fine, and will work fine together. Everyone can have slightly different preferences and it doesn't make sense for us to make a lot of changes because pricing and availability are probably going to be different in Portugal.

Thank you so much for your reply and help!

Do you think the WB Black SN859x is better than the Crucial T500?

If you play games (thus, needing a decent GPU), what resolution and frame rate are you looking for? Any games you're particularly interested in playing? That can help narrow down GPU selection.

SN850x is maybe a "little" better, but not something you can quantify. Both are good choices, so you can't go wrong.

Happy building!

I'm looking for playing in 1920x1080 with maybe 144Hz monitor I think? I'm looking to play a lot of games too like GTA V, Counter Strike, Tom Clancys Rainbow Six Siege, THE FINALS, Rust, Rocket League, Apex Legends, a little bit of everything tbh

Of the two, probably the Samsung, but Western Digital has been pretty good to me. My current build has 2 of the WD SN770 NVMe drives along with an HP EX950 drive. All have been rock solid. (the HP drive is almost 5 years old, one of the WD drives is almost 2 years old, the other, a bit more than 1 year old.

This can give you a rough idea for performance, kind of averaged across many titles: https://www.tomshardware.com/reviews/gpu-hierarchy,4388.html

I think Gamers Nexus also has some GPU benchmarks for specific games posted on their website, so you don't have to dig through their review videos.

I think an RX 6750 XT would be fine for what you want to be playing at the resolution and refresh rate you noted.

Looks nice.

I would have considered sticking with the Corsair RM750e, just to give a little more headroom if you upgrade the GPU in the future (and it's also fully modular and Gold rated instead of semi modular and Bronze, though in a full size case, modular PSU isn't as critical)
That's something I can upgrade in the future with the GPU maybe, what do you think about this one tho?

Sorry, didn't realize the prices jumped so much in Euro vs USD. The 650W semi modular Corsair supply is probably fine for what you are putting together. I used one those in my wife's PC for 3-4 years and it was fine (before eventually swapping it in a major upgrade). It was only annoying because she has an mITX case.

You can always swap in a beefier PSU later if needed (ie, if you upgrade). Don't want you to blow your budget on something that could be more of a "nice to have" than "must have".

I believe those prices include VAT, but yeah it's kinda brutal compared to what U.S. consumers are used to.
€380 for the RX 6750 XT. 😭 But I recommended the 6750 XT because it's near the bottom of what you can consider a 1440p card for AAA titles. The RTX 4060 8GB should strictly be considered a 1080p card unless you're into DLSS frame gen.

If PCPartPicker is accurate on local pricing, I would recommend the SN850X for €98 . The SN770 is OK, but it's DRAM-less and the price delta is small enough to recommend the superior part.

Regarding Crucial T500, I saw in a Tom's Hardware review of some other SSD that the Crucial ones (T700/T500) give more consistent performance even after lots of writes. So personally, I would go with Crucial.
