I switched down to a 96% keyboard from a model M since I wanted more room for my mouse.
I miss my home and end keys, but I do like the "Kailh Box White" Switches inside.

I don't think I like them quite as much as buckling springs, but, its still quite acceptable and much quieter.
I recently found out about mechanical switches being used in arcade controllers and I got some buttons that take MX cherry switches and I am really liking the Kailh Navy Speed switches.

I really wanted a solid wireless keyboard, just to keep my desk setup nice and clean looking after doing a lot of wire org and tidying up. I got the full Logi G915 keyboard but almost wish I got the TKL - I do need to use numbers for work though so it's a bit of an inconvenience but a wireless number pad might be ok. Anyway, a key thing I love about the Logi ones are the separate volume control but along with separate/dedicated play, rev, fwr and mute buttons. Those are must haves for me. As a gamer, always go with the clicky switches, aka their Cherry Red equivalents.

this is the TKL, it's just so nice and small.

Second this. Finding a keyboard with this was critical for me, and so annoying when these seemingly basic things are left off. I have the wired cousin to the one you have. I agree wireless can look cleaner, but I wanted to move away from batteries for something that is not really moving, and my desk already has some "clutter" on it in the form of a USB C dock and a work laptop hiding behind my monitors.

Exactly, it's like who designs these things? Quite a few high end keyboards had media controls but they were dual function, not dedicated.

This keyboard's battery lasts a long time. To keep it less cluttered, I just keep a 20,000mAh battery pack in the drawer nearby with a usb cable attached, and just charge the keyboard once or twice a month then put it away. But also, fuck logitech for still having micro-usb, I have literally moved everything over to USB-C except for one headlamp and an older bike light that is just backup.

Lol, can't stand micro-USB. I went to plug in a long unused card reader the other day to move some photos from an SD card and had to spend 10 minutes trying to find my single micro USB cable.

But here I am and I'm quite satisfied so far after having it 2 days now

Logitech optical linear keyboard

Thank you taxpayers!
Looks like a nice compact keyboard. Not really my style but I'm glad you like it because after all you are the one using it.

I notice it's necessary to tilt the keyboard a bit while gaming for maximum ergonomics. I can't leave it in standard position when playing fps games

Damn! I loved my old Model M IBM keyboard. It was a very sad day when the space bar stopped working and the IT department took it away.

FWIW I have been using a Logitech G710 for many years now and I like it pretty well.

i thought my Topre TKL was expensive until i discovered the world of custom mechanical keyboards. Say hello to a $1500 kb and say goodbye to your wallet.

I had acquired a collection of original Model Ms at one point, started handing them out to friends. Was working for IBM at the time and the facility was throwing stuff out. I'm like, yo.
I hate how people throw out perfectly working things.

k95, i turn off the lights. I love the macro buttons.
That's my jam on my main rig. Love this keyboard. I use two keyboards in actuality and I rotate them over top one another since I'm typically connected to many systems simultaneously -- AND I even use a KVM box. lol. The other is a lowly K55 Best Buy "@%!# I need a keyboard NOW that simply works" and I hate to admit it, but it serves its purpose perfectly well ... just without the awesome build and tactile feel of the K95. Typing this on the K55 with the K95 looming above it, heh.

Here's mine, it's a Vortex Multix. It's nice and heavy and sounds great. I'm not too crazy about the brown switches for typing (I think I'd like something that feels a bit more responsive), but I think I just need to get used to them.

I have a wireless numpad off to the left. It feels great being able to have my keyboard closer to my mouse (my typing position is much closer to center now), and I can put the numpad wherever I want when I need to use it.

Since I am beyond cheap I lived with scrounged up dogwater keyboards you get with Dell computers for decades. Finally, I broke down and spent a whole $30 (it was on sale) on a Keychron C3 Pro. Wow, this thing is amazing, I can type so much faster with it. I cannot imagine what a $100+ keyboard is like.

I used to not mind the cheap keyboards that often ship with PCs but now they are so terrible. Especially the ones with flat keys that are like laptop keyboards. I just can't type as well on those. I have a Microsoft ergo keyboard and it's decent. It's kind of ironic since I run Linux lol.

I got a 60% size KB with a full NumPad, arrows, Fn key row on top and selectable backlight colors for around $20. No worries on Mouse movement when using a trackball.

inspired by this thread I had to get the TKL version of the G915, and put up the full size version for sale. It really is more comfortable, the spacing that is. Wireless number pad for when I need it.
