I don't understand why sports leagues like MLB, NHL, NBA think its better to have their games on cable TV versus OTA. It really limits their audience. I would watch more games but I can't be bothered to spend all the effort finding a good working stream that doesn't cut out all the time. It's annoying the games aren't on the broadcast channels. Think ABC carries some weekend games.
You don't understand why having more networks bidding for rights fees is attractive to the sports leagues?I don't understand why sports leagues like MLB, NHL, NBA think its better to have their games on cable TV versus OTA. I imagine he won't be able to even stand up. That has to be a huge blow to the team to not have the coach actively engaged but instead just sitting their immobile on the sideline.Hope Denver closes LA out tonight so we can get on with a Nuggets-Wolves series which should be incredible. Speaking of the Wolves, ouch at their coach Chris Finch rupturing his patellar tendon when Mike Conley ran into him last night after being forced out of bounds by Devin Booker.

What did you expect from washed up Lakers and Suns teams and New Orleans minus Zion? I couldn't understand how anyone could pick Phoenix over Minnesota and I'm surprised Nuggets-Lakers wasn't a sweep.Nuggs are 7.5 point favorites, despite Jamal Murray being questionable.
I was very wrong about the TWolves. To be clear, they have a lot of talent so my beef with them was an unprofessional attitude and what I thought was poor coaching. They've shed that baggage already, but it only gets tougher from here.
So far, the playoffs haven't lived up to potential because the West's top teams are a combined 10-1. The Clips/Mavs series is competitive as expected. In the East, the Heat went supernova in game 2 and people pretended that was significant. Jalen Brunson was the baddest man on the planet yesterday to propel the Knicks to a 3-1 series lead.
The get in price for the Pels home game 4 is $10 lol. It's sad that some ad exec thought that SGA and Chet Holmgren would be good pitchmen, riffing on an old Christina Aguilera hit.
I'm bad at predictions, but what I originally said was there was potential for some very good first round series in the WC. The Pels had no chance without Zion, and nobody expected much from the Lakers*. The Suns were small series favorites going in, and I thought that would go 6 or 7 games. I certainly didn't expect the Suns to get swept. What did you expect from washed up Lakers and Suns teams and New Orleans minus Zion? They'll just keep re-airing the NFL draftWhat ever will major sports news outlets cover after the Lakers are eliminated tonight?
Will still out-draw the Eastern Conference Finals. They'll just keep re-airing the NFL draft
Lebron is the only consistent dude on that team and he gives it his all. Davis is the softest baby bitch on the team. He gets hurt by being breathed on. Dude bumped into MPJ and hurt his shoulder, and scored 1 point after that.LeClown is out and headed to Cancun. Denver really should've swept them but taking the series 4-1 is good enough. I had the Celtics/Heat game on yesterday and that game was bad. I think Boston was up almost 30 at one point. I'm not a fan of either team, and I almost never pay attention to what's going on in the East, but that game clearly exemplified why I just don't care.
Truth be told, I'm not a complete Lebron hater. He's a force for sure. His game for the most part is pretty incredible. It's just the flops man. Arguably worse than Vlade Divac lol. But outside of the court, he seems like a standup dude. He's never in the news except for basketball, and doing something positive for his community(s). Seems like a good dad and husband so afaik he seems like he's got his crap together.
It took over a week for the LBJ hater to show up, so that's progress for us. In general, I love watching the Nuggets. And the Lakers 0-4 WCF and 1-4 defeats were the most entertaining series "sweeps" I can recall.Lebron is the only consistent dude on that team and he gives it his all. I do get the hate for Lebron though he cries after ANY no call when he misses. But I also understand that it is part of his gamesmanship and there is a reason the Lakers have by far the most free throw attempts. There is definitely basketball reasons behind his crying to the refs and it's helped. Hell you saw it last night when he got some calls at points that you kind of scratch your head at.
I think this game should have gone to at least 6 and the Nuggets are lucky that they won the game they were down by 21 or so points. They squeaked that out. But the formula was always the same. Lebron gets the team out to a lead and then no one can come to aid him most of the time. It's like EVERYONE has to be on in order for them to have a chance. One game Russel is bad, one game Reaves is bad, one game Rui is a no show, etc. Lebron and Softy AD can't carry them they need more consistent help.
That said, I mean the nuggets are the nuggets. They are defending champs and have a very good chance of doing it again. They are just an incredible team with weapons that can get you from any angle. So hats off to them.
That series in general was very fun to watch and I hoped it would go longer.

My favorite Lakers sweep was 0-4 to the Spurs in 1999. I was at Game 2 when Duncan hit the game winner and Shaq started going after the refs at the final buzzer.I usually don't care for ESPN fluff pieces, but this is a fun one on Jalen Brunson:

If D'Lo decides to opt out, I'm not sure they should throw more money at him. Yes, he had a fine regular season and NBA salaries are just insane these days. But he just doesn't feel like the reliable kind of shooter you can ever trust in the playoffs (a Steve Kerr or Danny Green type).
well of course you would remember that one! In general, sweeps just aren't entertaining. However, the Lakers were at least competitive in the last WCF and in this gentleman's sweep (series goes 6 if they don't blow the 20pt lead in game 3). Not that there are any moral victories in playoff series losses. The rare exception is the very young team that you know has a bright future, i.e. the 2011 OKC Thunder (even then, that future faded when Sam Presti picked Serge Ibaka over James Harden just to save the owners some luxury tax dollars). My favorite Lakers sweep was 0-4 to the Spurs in 1999.
