It's more of an indictment of us, than anything.

Everyone knows who Trump has been for the last 40-50 years. Still couldn't see it coming, for some reason.

I wish is was doubled. Currently it is 1-4 years

And I hope it is on top of any other crimes. Eg an harassment change and this one

Scary stuff, especially in a dipshit state like mine with "stand your ground" laws. Try to stop some gun-toting maga type from harassment and he'll likely shoot first and cry "I was feeling threatened" second. Knowing some of the cops around here, I'd have to wonder if having them around would make a bit of difference. Every one of them is a maga type themselves.

Best bet is mail-in voting. Which ironically is what all my trump-loving relatives do.

I was going to say there were reports of cops showing up to polling locations wearing MAGA shit in 2020. I think in Florida, where they sent police for "security" there were a couple that while on duty had MAGA hats on or something even.

Here we go again with the GOP ramping up their attack on democracy. i wonder how many more of Trump's lackeys and minions will end up being indicted and convicted this time around if Trump loses again. He will definitely try to raise the stolen election scam again if he loses, along with whatever last second hoax conspiracies and false accusations they can confuse and muck up the orderly process of voting to their advantage.

For the fact that it's only the Republicans that are up to their nefarious ways and means toward cheating their way to wins should tell us all who really should not be trusted to determine the direction our nation should go, yet being stuck on stupid seems to be the overall strategy the conservatives are pinning their hopes on, especially with the likes of Margie Greene, Jordan, Gaetz. etc. leading the party faithful around by their nose rings.
