MC deals are indeed insane and not representative of prices available to most buyers. Besides that, when Zen5 launches it will likely get its own bundle deals at MC so we can't compare those prices now. At most U.S. retailers, the 7800X3D is $370 and the 7700X is $285-$330. The point being made...
100% There have been multiple times I've used hi-res texture packs in games (mainly Bethesda) and the GPU wasn't challenged much more but the VRAM took a big hit. Some low-VRAM cards just weren't up to the task even though the GPU was more than capable.
I mean I get your sarcasm, some people will complain no matter what. For the past couple gens, Intel has had great performance (at least on desktop) but efficiency has been rather subpar. So if ARL-S brings major efficiency gains, that will be excellent.
I think the sentiments about ARL-S being...
For what it's worth, the SPEC delta isn't that big so, depending on your use case, ARL-S may have to bring more to the table than you're estimating.

I think that's why @Panino Manino put that in quotes. There are some people who listen to the hype and then are disappointed in AMD because reality isn't as awesome as the rumors (rather than being disappointed in the rumormongers themselves).
Affirm does show a finance charge on most of their literature and statements but it must be the finance charge if paid according to the payment plan you set up. I set mine up for 3 payments over 3 months. However, when I made the payment, the finance charge was dropped off and I only paid the...
Actually just used that Affirm coupon a couple days ago and then paid off the loan a day or two later and had no finance charge. Just FYI for those considering the Newegg deal.
Of the Nvidia vs AMD lineup, the 4070 vs 7800XT is probably the closest price-wise. Basically 5-10% slower in raster but better upscaling and RT performance. 7% higher price isn't bad at all for the extra Nvidia features (as long as you don't run into a VRAM issue as igor mentioned).
Can you...
If the features are free, sure. But I believe the original questions was asked with relation to the cost of those features. One cost is the extra money you pay for an Nvidia card equal in raster performance which is currently 15-30% higher depending on what tier you're looking at. Another "cost"...
Ya, I should have given in. 😄
I'm on a business trip near Kansas City the next couple weeks. I'll have to see if the MC in Overland Park gets anything in stock.
Nice! Is yours slated to ship in October? Amazon is now saying ships Oct 9-10 and I'm wondering how that will work with the Starfield promo ending on Sep 30...
I'm really tempted by the Hellhound 7800XT. $500 and comes with Starfield which I've been wanting. Only a 50ish% performance increase over my 6700XT though so not sure it's worth it.
Wanted to post an update on this issue. After everything I tried above, I kept trying to engage Adata through Facebook Messenger and through their website chat feature (which by the way never had any agents but redirected you to leave a message). I had kind of given up on ever getting a response...
Hope this is the right spot for this question. I bought a 4TB XPG SSD a year ago and it worked great up until November when it started to drop off Disk Manager and File Explorer randomly. Happened with two different motherboards so Adata said to start the RMA process. Shipped it out on 24 Dec...
That is really disappointing, especially considering they launched 4+ months ago. Thankfully I've had great success with my budget Asrock B650 board. Booted up no problem with EXPO settings (DDR5-6000 & CL32) and has been fairly trouble free (knock on wood).
Do you have a bunch of game review averages where RPL and ADL dominate Zen4?

They were both run at DDR5-6000 in the Tech Deals review and the AMD was run at CL30 and the Intel at CL32. You are using rather inflammatory language ("crippling Intel") for a difference that is miniscule.
13900k at DDR5-6000 (CL36) vs DDR5-7400 (CL34). Source <1% difference...
If you click on "Sold Items" in your list of filters, you can see what has actually sold. https://www.ebay.com/sch/i.html?_from=R40&_nkw=7900xtx&_sacat=0&rt=nc&LH_Sold=1&LH_Complete=1
Looks like most were in the $1,250 to $1,500 range.
Anyone have recent experience with Asrock boards? Decent bios support? General stability?
I'm considering an Asrock B650 Pro RS. Lots of features for the money but I don't mind paying a bit more if Asus or MSI provide better software and/or less bugs.
