    It suffered from network TV sci-fi rinse and repeat villains for a while too, but the important episodes are damn good television. The seasons were too long in retrospect, but I loved it all back then.

    The sequel trilogy also got the benefit of a poorly received prequel trilogy. Fans were stunned that an official Star Wars movie could be bad (TPM). By the time we got around to the sequel trilogy bad was sort of expected.

    OOOoooof I think I would still enjoy TFA occasionally as a nice "This looks cool and isn't super old or filled with 99% blue screen graphics" but other than those technical things, meh..

    I'm not as technical-minded as the others in this thread, but I always understood that the consoles themselves are under-priced based on their hardware with the assumption that once you get whichever company's console, you'd naturally be buying a lot of games to go with it.

    Nope, it was Bryan Fuller and NBC the whole time. I didn't notice the decline at the time until season 3 started and it shoehorned the more familiar Hannibal plots in. It felt like they knew season 4 was not happening and they had to cram in as much as they could.

    Ebert was most certainly a genius. It's fun to stumble upon a mediocre movie and find out he gave it 3/4 stars and have him take you through his thought process on why he disagrees with everyone. Even if I don't agree with him I enjoy his words.

    Gerald's Game - 7/10 I think I would have liked this better had I not seen Flanagan's Hill House series first. It's very similar in style and the way he portrays imagination. Still a quality watching if you don't know the Stephen King book.

    Bummer, I'm halfway done season 1 and I feel the same way about the actor playing Pablo. It feels like an actor trying really hard to portray a real person rather than suspending my disbelief.

    I remember in 2007 when they secured 6 total seasons when season 3 had just finished. They said the advanced notice would give the creative team time to plan the arc properly. I believed them.
